Genette Gale

Genette has a wealth of experience in a wide range of family law matters to include divorce and dissolution proceedings, dividing financial assets upon separation and divorce, division of pension assets upon divorce or dissolution, resolving the arrangements for children after a separation, drafting and advising on pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements, and property disputes between cohabitees.

She will support you without bamboozling you with legal jargon. She is experienced at dealing with divorces and dissolutions involving clients who have public sector pensions (Teachers’ Pensions, Armed Forces Pension Schemes, Local Government Pension Schemes).

As well as Genette being a Family Solicitor she is a Collaborative Family Lawyer, helping people reach an agreement in an amicable way through face to face meetings to try to avoid the cost of court proceedings.

Genette is a member of Resolution and a Resolution Specialist Family Lawyer with specialisms in Children Law – Private and Domestic Abuse.

Genette is a member of Shaftesbury Rotary helping support rotary run local community events and projects as well as fundraising for local charities. She is also an organiser of the North Dorset Business Group which meets once a month to enable its members to network. She arranges for speakers to talk to the group on business related topics so local business people can learn skills to help their businesses.

Outside of the office Genette enjoys keeping fit by running, she is currently training for a half marathon. She enjoys taking in the countryside sights as well as knocking down skittles playing for a village team.

Genette qualified as a solicitor in 2007.
