14 Dec Genette Gale has passed her exams and is now a Resolution Specialist Family Lawyer
Congratulations to Genette Gale our Family Solicitor who has passed her exams to become a Resolution Specialist Family Lawyer with particular specialisms in Children Law – Private (representing clients resolving arrangements for the children as a result of separation) and Domestic Abuse (representing victims of domestic abuse who are going through a separation or who are having difficulties due to domestic abuse from a former partner).
What does this mean for you?
Resolution Specialists are members who have chosen to test their skills and expertise through a rigorous assessment of their knowledge, abilities and way that they work with you and other people.
To qualify Genette had to show she had:
- A thorough general knowledge of family law including divorce, domestic abuse, child law and family finances, the range of dispute resolution solutions that might help, for example mediation.
- To show that she had been working in family law almost or entirely exclusively, and as a result had developed expertise in her chosen area.
- Kept up to date with law and practice.
- A detailed knowledge, experience and expertise in two specialist areas of family law.

What is Resolution?
Resolution is an organisation of 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals in England and Wales, who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. Members are required to adhere to the Code of Practice which sets out the principles of a non-confrontational approach to family law matters. The code requires lawyers to deal with each other in a civilised way and to encourage their clients to put their differences aside and reach fair agreements.
